Bought for a camping sewing kit for camping repairs. Because of course, I only carry one coil with me and it goes with pretty much every repair. It is stronger and more resistant to rot than cotton yarn. And it seems easy to work with. Edit 8/1/2017: Okay, I actually had to use this thread. Two of my hiking pants had a button ripped off the fly. So I took those 2 pairs and 2 other pairs that didn't fail, cut off those buttons and then replaced all 4 buttons with this nylon thread. My only caveat is that this stuff is difficult to use for the same reason it's useful. This material is almost invisible in room lighting. LOL I had to go outside in daylight to be able to thread the needle and then see where I sewed. Does that stop me from recommending this topic? Not at all, I still love the ability to blend in with anything and the moisture and rot resistance that cotton can't match. Just be aware that it's really hard to see and you need good lighting to see what you're doing.
