Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Wicked Edge WE100 - Precision Knife Sharpener: Achieve Razor-Sharp Results! by Monica Kittling

But does the job. - Kitchen and dining room

I bought this system after looking at all the other systems available on the internet. Wicked Edge looked like it would make sense: the knife is fixed and sharpening is done on both sides without having to flip the blade. I also liked the fact that they use diamond stones which are flat and strong. I have had very good results sharpening my small collection of knives as well as our kitchen knives. "Honey. You have to be careful with the knives. They're really sharp now." I have a couple of minor complaints. The leather and balsa straps meant to be used with diamond paste didn't work for me. The straps weren't flat and I cut them now with a sharp knife. Diamond paste is a mess and expensive. Also, it's a good idea to decrease the angle by half a degree when stopping. After a while, I settled on glass stones and diamond lapping paper. Two standard wrenches are better. Kyle at WE kindly offered me some. The machining inside the bolts used to tighten them had some burrs which I had to file off to make the hex te wrench fit in . Kyle again offered to send me new ones. That is unnecessary. Overall I really like this system and my knives get VERY sharp. I think some bugs should be fixed. The folks at Wicked Edge are very responsive and I would recommend their system.
