It's definitely worth it and it's so easy to install.

Great way to breathe new life into an old PS3. I tried to upload my games that I play via LAN party to my old 40GB console but I didn't have enough storage space, I had to delete things. I was starting to think that having two PS3s wasn't worth the hassle, but then I put a new 160GB one in and now everything is great. It is definitely worth it!
