A good limiter, after the change I have

I bought this limiter to replace a worn limiter. I chose this design because I didn't have to bend down to attach or detach the doorstop. The design seemed practical. When the product arrived I noticed a serious design flaw that needed to be fixed prior to installation. The main body is die-cast aluminum with no reinforcement behind the bottom two screw holes. I saw one reviewer mention that the screws came loose when tightening them during installation. To avoid this problem I used epoxy and reinforced the area behind the bottom two screw holes. I installed 2 small tubes in epoxy to go through the mounting screws. For the background I could probably use an appropriately sized drill or rod to shape the epoxy around and then remove the drill or rod before the epoxy cures. I let the epoxy dry for a few days before installing the doorstop. After making the changes I had no trouble tightening the mounting screws and the doorstop is secure. Note: I used sandpaper on the back of the doorstop near the screw holes to sand the area to help the epoxy adhere better. While the epoxy was still pliable, I lengthened and stripped the doorstop, then using a small screwdriver stripped the epoxy off the piston stem so nothing would interfere with the doorstop. Break.
