2010 Ford Escapes have been known to lose liftgate latch functionality. I checked out the replacement procedure on YouTube and found that it wouldn't be difficult to swap out. I checked the Ford OEM part and it was 3 times more expensive than that brand. So I took the risk and ordered it. Using Youtube I removed the old part and installed this new replacement in 30 minutes. This replacement worked great! Sounds and works like an OEM. Failed to beat value with a stick.
