Bought to replace 24 year old factory speakers in my regular '97 F-150 cockpit. The factory speakers have mostly decayed with age and it's just an old workhorse but I love the music so I wanted to add something that doesn't crackle and pop. I have much better Sony speakers in the door and they don't sound as good but it's just a regular cap so if you center the damping it's fine. I connected them to one of those super cheap "mechanically loose" Bluetooth head units, which is pretty flimsy, so maybe given my tiny listening space and weak head unit, these things sound better to me than they would on a system that would be able to push consume over 45 watts. So be careful if you have a powerful head unit, most modern factory head units are pretty solid too. These things can pop and rattle at 50 percent volume. It's probably best to go with a more expensive speaker if you have a high power application. However, they seem to work fine in my old hammer if it's a truck. These aren't the best sounding speakers out there, but they do sound better than you'd expect for $26. Very low bass. I even unplugged them to make sure I didn't plug them back in because I got very little bass out of them, but I guess that's just how they're designed. Very easy to connect and install, it's basically two wires. and 4 screws each and they come with all necessary mounting hardware as well as wires with quick-release terminals. The foam padding around one of the speakers I received was slightly crooked which meant I had to cut some of it off to get at the screw holes. There is poor quality control. Although the soldering at the joints seemed fine. I don't expect them to break anytime soon. I'm generally an audiophile and wouldn't buy these speakers for any other car other than one I don't drive often and wouldn't spend a lot of money. on stereo for. They are good for the person on a budget who just wants to replace some of the original speakers. If you are looking for great sound I would look elsewhere.
