I bought this to use as a silicone around the leg holes of cycling shorts that don't have handles to hold. It helped a little, but probably wasn't worth the trouble. This is not the intended use, so the product doesn't bother me. A few months later I also used it to fix the flex rubber in another application and it worked really well. again not the intended application, just what I tried. Seems like it works well on socks. I will say I had no issues with it separating, hardening or not working as intended. My tip: SHAKE LOTS before use. Really shake the bottle first. Then, before you apply it to your socks (or whatever), squeeze some on a rag. At first it will be a little runny, but then it will become thick. Finally, place a piece of plastic or cardboard under the fabric. I bled a little, but something on the other side kept it from getting too bad and the fabric from sticking to itself.
