After having problems with similar Verbatim drives repeatedly failing with every drive I tried, I switched to these drives, which were about half the price and none of the from drives I was using failed. I hope they stand the test of time and read correctly years later, but at least they write correctly. They have a REALLY strong smell! But over time, under the influence of air, it disappears. UPDATE OCTOBER 10, 2020: I used up the first 50 discs and got another batch. I think I had 2-3 errors out of 50 so not bad. It's way better than other brands I've used. It's too early to tell if the color won't fade over the years and become unreadable. I always burn the things I save to Blu-ray and DS DVD to ensure I have something readable in the future and I've found that my old PS3 still reads media discs the best without overheating Color changes caused, and cannot be read within 2 hours of playback. Other players usually have trouble reading due to the thermal effect on the disc. I hope they are long lasting.
