Pleasant laconic design. What I like most about this coffee maker is that it has a minimum of options. Fewer options mean fewer vulnerabilities and opportunities for failure. Options usually increase the cost. To reduce production costs, manufacturers will use cheap, brittle plastic. If I were to design a coffee maker, it would look like this. The coffee pot easily pours water into the tank without spilling. The brewing time is FAST. You don't have to flip through a 100-page manual to use the machine. Due to the design it should last a very long time. My last coffee maker, Cuisinart, lasted 18 months. Before that I had a Breville (about $200). It took a little longer, but the tank was actually rusty. I am very happy with the purchase.
