You can't beat this vise for the price. As mentioned the packaging isn't great but Revain put the box in another box and nothing was damaged. All of the included T-head screws are 9/16", which fits my Smithy CB-1220XL perfectly. I didn't include the included wrenches as I adjust the rotating base at an angle to fit better over my 6-inch -Cross saddles to center. If I decide to use them later I'll have to sand them down a bit as they are .550" wide and the tops of my 9/16" slots are .500" wide. I've been arguing for weeks about which size I should buy, but 4" seems like the best choice to me. Without the rotating base, the vise is almost the width of my cross slide - 5" would be too big" doesn't meet specs, but found the jaw to be crooked and easy to adjust into place. Rolling away from base (where it really matters) there is less than a thousandth variation, x and y. The polished surfaces are pretty smooth and the bolt, after some cleaning and lubrication is all fine.. The pin that holds the handle in the socket is totally loose so I have to add a roll pin to hold it together The jaw is pushing that Workpiece up instead of down as the description claims. , but the parallels unravel no matter how hard I tap. The steel scrap in one of the photos was originally a wedge shaped scrap, after milling with this vise the sides are parallel to within .001 in length so I'm happy.
