Enhanced Milling Machine Lockdown Vise Swiveling: Enhancing Precision & Versatility Review

I am very happy with the quality of this vise! I bought a 4" vise for my small drill press to improve my precision when drilling metal parts. I use a series of parallels to summarize my work. Overall this is a great vise, well packaged, clean and ready to install. I will say that this is a heavy and large vise and I can only imagine what the 5" and 6" are like. I could probably use 3 inches for my application. I highly doubt that the larger ones can be used on smaller grinders or drill presses.

You can't beat this vise for the price. As mentioned the packaging isn't great but Revain put the box in another box and nothing was damaged. All of the included T-head screws are 9/16", which fits my Smithy CB-1220XL perfectly. I didn't include the included wrenches as I adjust the rotating base at an angle to fit better over my 6-inch -Cross saddles to center. If I decide to use them later I'll have to sand them down a bit as they are .550" wide and the tops of my 9/16" slots are .500" wide…

I am very happy with this vise for the price. A HUGE upgrade from the strong but imprecise vise that came with the grinder. With my Starrett Last Word dial gauge, I get almost half a thousand hits right in the middle of a stationary sponge when pushed in. Both ends show 0 and the middle is only slightly concave.
