My daughter wanted to start drinking more water so she bought the 128 ounce gallon size first - it was a little big for her so she had to return it and buy this one ( 64 ounces). Works well and manageable! Thank God. The colors blend beautifully and the frosty look adds a nice aesthetic touch. The material is thick plastic, smooth and solid to the touch. The straw consists of two parts, both made of plastic. In most cases, this is the usual soft and elastic plastic from which straws are often made. This part folds up like the bottom of a straw and when you open the end it kind of bounces/unfolds. The other part is made of hard plastic and goes through the lid. You can use this water bottle with or without a straw. Paracord is a nice addition, durable and comfortable material. All in all a good deal and a nice bottle of water!
