Overall I am very happy with this car seat. Well stitched, good quality straps and fabric. The seat is very soft, the dog likes it. She is a Chihuahua mix and weighs about 10.5 pounds so the size is perfect for her and she can lay down and be quite comfortable. I would only recommend it for small dogs. The straps fit perfectly in the front seat and the strap is good allowing me to snag on their straps. I will say I thought this car seat would be a bit firmer on the sides with something in the cushion to stiffen it and keep it upright, but the whole seat is basically a cushion. That's fine with me as I only want to use it for very short trips, like going to a nearby park for a walk. If I do a very slow gentle turn my dog is safe, but with regular turns I hold on to his harness to steady him as the sides of the seat just slide down when he tries to use them for support . So I like it for short rides, but for longer rides she still rides in her secure trunk in the back seat.
