So I got them for a very specific reason. I'm on chemo and one of the side effects is cracked nails. While I am taking vitamins and using vitamin polish my nails look ugly. My doctor didn't want me to use polish because it would seep into the cracks and cause problems. I mentioned those stickers and she said it was fine. I know there are many; Foil, gel, etc. I really needed something temporary because I have to use vitamin polish every three days. So the complaints that they are quickly removed, in fact, just what I need. No UV lamps. No trouble. Glue, smooth, file. Ready. Now I agree that they have a strong smell. I find it very similar to a pool float that has just been taken out of the box. And now that I say that, they also look like something... very thin, malleable, elastic plastic. I suspect it will go away in a day or two. I will now choose my next color and open this packet (each set comes in its own sealed packaging) to allow it to air out before the next use. So if you like changing color every few days, this might be perfect. . If you need them for a reason like me, even better.
