Tough little pump for fish and aquatic animals

I bought several of these pumps for various well projects we had around the house to keep busy during the pandemic. For a sub $30 DC pump, these were great little workhorses. Once we start the wells they will work 10-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. One has been running like this since September and had no problems. Another one from December. Thirdly, we had an immediate problem with the pump but I contacted the seller and although my return was due in a few weeks I had my pump replaced and had a new one in my hands. in three days! Great service! A few things to know about these pumps: First, there is no flow control. This is not a problem when building a fountain, you just have to take it into account when designing it. In my case I prefer to include either a flow driven element like the face of the sun you can see in my attached video or a small cone. I also integrated one of them into this special fountain. Or, if you want something less visible, you can add a plain T or Y to the pump outlet line and a plain ball valve to the open end of the Y or T. I personally didn't like it because I don't like it. t. It's like sticking your hands in the icy water of the fountain where the birds bathe to regulate the flow. But that's a personal choice! Secondly, you need to make sure this pump doesn't dry up as it won't shut down or burn out if you ignore it. I didn't allow that, but it starts to make a very loud motor noise when you start it with low water level. This is a really quiet pump if you use it with the right water level.
