Works great. This was not the case with the old single-stage pump. Now I believe that a flow meter is absolutely necessary to know how much water you are circulating in the pool in a given period of time. You can read the pumped GPM. Since our pool is now 1000% better you will have to partially explain this by knowing how many hours it takes to pump to filter all 25,000 gallons at the various speeds available. We've had this for several months now. The cost of a flow meter is very small compared to pumping too much water and wasting electricity, or not pumping enough water and the pool turns green. The only possible problem I'd like to have is the flow meter protruding above the pipe: if it can be stepped on somewhere or hooked with a hose, say goodbye to it - so you'd better think about protection when installing it.
