Review on SWITCHDOCTOR Window 1997 2004 Chevrolet Corvette by Savoeun Ramirez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Plug and play replacement.

My window sticks a little when it's raised so I've been trying like an idiot to compensate by pushing the button harder. In the process, an almost 20-year-old OEM window knob quickly shattered and slivers of plastic fell through my door. I ordered a SWITCHDOCTOR spare part for my C5, which was delivered quickly. I just unplugged an old broken switch and plugged in a SWITCHDOCTOR, it was a perfect 1 to 1 replacement. All buttons work great, no complaints. It also has LED lights, so don't worry about changing bulbs. You don't have to disassemble the door to replace it, just pull out your old switch. It is slightly different from the original OEM unit as the white text looks lighter and I don't think you can replace it. They light up by themselves without soldering the LEDs. Rubber feels a little different too - it's softer and more pliable. I knew this before ordering, so I swapped out the switch on the passenger side at the same time to make them match.

Pros
  • Power windows
Cons
  • unreliable
