This camera has all the features of a much more expensive model. I'll admit it's not that polished and maybe not that advanced, but it does a good job of capturing videos and the rest of the features are fine. The only thing that surprised me was that the camera is bigger than I expected. I suspect it's because of the dual lenses, I just thought it was smaller. I made the mistake of reading the entire description of this camera and noticed that there was a bold note to find and order for $5. Item if you want to install the suction cup camera on your windshield. Well, I tried to take the initiative and ordered the suction cup along with the camera. Wouldn't you know! The camera already comes with a suction cup mount and a mount with double-sided mounting tape. Lesson? DO NOT BUY AN ADDITIONAL VACUUM. I like almost everything about this camera. Here's what I like best: β’ It doesn't have a battery that can be damaged in a hot car (it uses capacitors instead) β’ It starts recording as soon as the car starts β’ May or may not record audio β’ Can record outdoors and interior or exterior β’ It features a gravity/motion sensor that automatically locks images/videos in the event of a collision β’ Can be mounted on dashboard or windshield β’ Built-in WiFi to access images without removing SD card β’ Internally integrated Camera - IR light for shooting in a dark room β’ Each lens rotates independently so you can adjust the angle β’ The screen can be turned off but you can still tell it's recording with the flashing red button. There are other features of the camera, such as the fact that most functions are available directly from the buttons without having to go into the menu. For example, you can turn on the WiFi hotspot by pressing and holding the record button for a few seconds... The other button toggles the IR LEDs on and off in the same way. But here are a few things that need improvement: β’ The camera still uses the old miniUSB power connector. They're getting harder and harder to find as devices switched to microUSB many years ago and now everything is moving to Type-C. The loop recording option just doesn't make sense. The menu options allow you to turn it off or set the loop recording option in increments of no more than 3 minutes. However, I found that the camera records in 15 minute increments when it is off. I don't know if this means it will stop once the card is full (I hope not), but this should be fixed with an update as soon as possible. My final point isn't really a knock; It's more of a wish list item. The only thing I wished for in this camera, and it doesn't have it, is a GPS receiver. The cameras that do this record your heading, location and speed along with your video, so it'll just knock this thing out of the park, but I wasn't expecting it to come at this price point.
