On a scale of 1 to 10 for filter density, it's a 5. And I really like that! Expensive filters that are very hard/tight can cause your HVAC system to work harder to draw in air. They filter out what you expect and let air through with no problem. I change my filters every month during the summer months and as needed during the winter months. As your windows get older, more particles will enter your home, resulting in your filters needing to be replaced more often. I've used cheap filters, the most expensive filters, and filters that you wash when they're dirty versus replacement filters. I prefer them to everything else at the moment.
