I bought these to replace build quality Kwikset grips which I hated for almost 8 years. I didn't know anything about the door hardware rating system until this happened. I wish I had a higher level of security, but still I love these pens. They are definitely sturdier and of significantly better quality than the ones I had, so I'm happy with this purchase. I love the way they look and I love their simple, elegant look. These grips do NOT hang loose like the Kwiksets I've had. They feel secure and seem to last at least twice as long as the old cheap quality. I feel like I got more than I expected for a modest price that pleasantly surprised me! Thanks Revin Using the Schlage brand was just more than I was willing to spend. To improve the security aspect I replaced the old Kwikset bars with Schlage so I feel like I hit the sweet spot with much better quality without a big investment. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind minimal safety gear but want the best quality. It's also very easy to install yourself (I'm a lady with little experience), which I've never done before!
