The Surface Charger: Not Quite as Small as it Seems

When I first received the Surface Charger, I was impressed by its compact size. It easily fits in my bag without taking up too much space, and I appreciate not having to lug around a bulky charger. Unfortunately, while this charger may be small in size, it is also small in power. The 65W Mini Charger struggled to keep up with my Surface Pro 6. I found myself constantly having to plug in and charge my device, which was frustrating. Additionally, the build quality of the Charger feels flimsy and cheap. I worry that it won't hold up to frequent use or being thrown around in my bag. On the positive side, the Charger is compatible with a variety of Microsoft Surface devices, which is convenient for those who own multiple devices. It's also relatively affordable compared to other chargers on the market. Overall, while the Surface Charger is compact and affordable, its lack of power and questionable durability make it difficult to fully recommend.

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility
Cons
  • Prolonged use of the charger may cause it to generate a significant amount of heat, which could potentially damage your device or pose a safety hazard
