When I was sent one of these vent mounts I was skeptical about my vertical vents as I figured my wife could use them in her car with its horizontal ventilation openings. Surprisingly, this is the first vent mount that works with my vertical vents. Unlike others I've tried, this one comes with a vent retainer that is tightened with a wing nut by applying pressure to a handle that fits into the vent. This wing nut allows you to tighten the handle so it stays on the vertical vent and stays still. What's even better, it has 2 pieces of plastic that come out on both sides to prevent the ventilation from moving to either side to keep your phone from falling.
