We have a 60 inch TV on the wall. Our 4 year old Labrador loves to watch TV but gets super excited when he sees other animals or someone exercising and now even a Pillsbury donut boy or gecko jumping around the set over and over again. We fear it will hit the TV or the cabinet below, muting the speakers, or shattering the glass shelves. We're using this gate to set up a barrier that will keep him out of all this. Furniture quality finish, I assembled it in under 5 minutes with no tools. It's durable, adjustable, and attractive. I can't vouch for its effectiveness as a gate, but in my opinion it's heavy and big enough to get the job done. I'm glad I bought it and would do it again.
