Better if you sew it up

I got this after realizing my daughter's new sheet had a hole in it. This is after I washed it so I can't return it. I love how beautiful and well made the patches are. The threads used have a pleasant sheen. Definitely worth the money, especially how many there are. I really have no intention of just petting it, but I tried to just look. Because I need him to stay there forever. There were no instructions on how long to do it, or the recommended temperature or setting for the iron. So I turned it around, set the iron to maximum and covered the patches with a washcloth (so in case it melts my iron is safe, it also helps keep the patches in place). Passing the iron through multiple times didn't seem to do anything, so I left it on for 15 seconds. The problem is that after 5 minutes I noticed the sides lifting. So I used the iron again (same settings and settings). It helped, just a little. I'm not too upset about it because I'm going to sew it on anyway. I noticed that the adhesive material on the back seemed to seep into the front, but it came off in the wash. A little tip: when sewing, do not sew excess material outside the contour of the butterfly, this piece will crumble when washed. Time. Instead, sew it into the black stitching of the butterfly outline. This allows the patches to stay in the fabric longer. Hope that helps. πŸ˜€
