I really didn't expect it to work that well. But it surprised me. I had a small dent on the hood the size of a coin. The dent was carved out of a rock at a speed of about 80 miles per hour. There were 3 small chips of paint in the center of the dent, measuring about 1/16 inch at the widest point. I've argued a lot about using this tool instead of just touch up paint. My 2014 Subaru Outback only had 25,000 miles when this happened and I figured I would have more paint damage/dents over the life of the car and I could just replace the hood or repaint the hood at the time of sale/trade. I figured there wouldn't hurt to try. I would say the dent is 95% gone. You can still barely see the dent when the light hits it at the right angle. Slightly removed clear coat over the paint. I was expecting this as the paint was already peeling off and was supposed to peel off after some time anyway. My brother in law was there to help. He was so impressed with how well it worked that we tried it on a door dent on this rear fender (2008 Subaru WRX). There were no paint chips on this dent. The dent came out easily and looks almost perfect again (about 95%). The factory paint was not damaged in any way when removing the doorbell on the WRX.
