I have purchased several 'upgrades' for my outdated LCD rear projector over the years but few offer as good value for money as this offset LED lighting kit. When my viewing room is darkened, the effect is dramatic and very effective. I've noticed a reduction in eye strain and perceived contrast seems to have improved (albeit slightly). Installing this kit couldn't be easier. The LED strip comes with a strong adhesive that sticks securely, and the strip itself is easy to place and manipulate (even along the curved back of my TV). The included cables and power button are plentiful - they were all easy to hide, and the manufacturer includes adhesive-backed cable clips to keep cables out of sight. works when not plugged directly into an outlet - it refused to turn on when I first plugged it into my rack power supply/surge protector. However, the manufacturer claims this on their website, so it's not a big surprise. It works fine when plugged into a regular power strip - only surge protectors cause problems. I'm not complaining. Adding this functionality with a third-party solution should be relatively easy. Installing this kit takes no more than five minutes, and the results will be significant and visible immediately. I recommend from the bottom of my heart.
