Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG55 205/60 R16 96T winter by Michal Cedronski ᠌

I do not advise buying this product, there is nothing to praise here.

Bought in October 2022. Made in 2022. Front wheel drive, size 195/65/15. Behavior on dry pavement in winter is very poor. It turned out to catch up with viburnum at a speed of no more than 40 km / h and there was a distance of about 10 m between us. Both applied emergency braking. He had the usual rubber type amtel non-studded. Riding on dry asphalt from the category: keep your distance and be extremely careful all the time, in the city with traffic jams and gas / brake, respectively, this is bad. In reality, not a single spike flew out in a year, this is of course a big plus. Therefore, you feel relatively confident on ice and snow-covered roads. Unfortunately, in 2022 there were no honest reviews about this model yet, so I bought it, read the review "Behind the wheel": - the weakest braking properties on snow and on dry asphalt, the weakest - on ice and on wet roads difficult directional stability on asphalt low level of comfort Conclusion: next time I will not buy, there are more interesting models in this price range.

Pros
  • Good behavior on the ice, the spikes hold tight. Quiet enough.
Cons
  • Disgusting behavior on dry pavement. Very sensitive to rutting.
