This is not at all quick or easy. We recently had a health issue that was so serious that I started looking for alternatives to control what goes into our food. Although I've read that the bowl needs to be frozen overnight, I waited about 36 hours. The recipes are limited to items other than ice cream, and the pair that had them didn't give timing instructions, so I looked up recipes that people have made for this machine. I've tried making dairy free ice cream three times. After preparing or mixing the base, it must be chilled for at least 4 hours before whipping. All three times according to different recipes, this is nothing more than a thick cocktail. Oh but wait for the best part. You can only clean the bowl once it is at room temperature, which takes overnight. No thank you! I'm not sure if my car is broken or something but I don't get how fun and easy this is. If I had young children waiting for this to end or at least get fixed I would have 3 trips to Marble Slab! VERY DISAPPOINTED
