Review on πŸ“· Sunpak 620-060TM Tripod: Enhance Your Photography Experience with this Reliable Tripod by Joel Mosqueda

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's beautiful but not heavy

For the McDouble and Jackson price, you can get a monopod and tripod that's over 5 feet long. This is a phenomenal deal. But the build quality is good! Not great but good! As you may have read, the middle tripod extension turns into a monopod; It's a fancy deal with this particular Sunpak model. The monopod isn't easy to "lock into" as it uses a fairly unintuitive "twist" method for each of its extensions, but I found it to be pretty solid once extended. The tripod itself is exactly what you should be. buy for - very nice. It's light, but with my very large camera (Fuji S6000fd with 28-300mm lens) it felt very stable. The locks on the legs work well and are very quick to extend to any desired length. I wish the tripod had a spirit level on the tripod head rather than just one of the two quick release mounts, but I don't really care since I take photos, not videos. I can tell with very tight tolerances if the camera is tilted or straight because I have a working inner ear :). Ultimately I would say buy it. It seems like it should hold up well and is very light and compact when folded. Just don't expect it to work with an old VHS camcorder or 600mm DSLR lens and you'll be happy.
