Was skeptical of buying something like this from a company I don't know. Sunpak 620 exceeded my expectations. I had a great tripod but I lost the part that fits the camera. If you lose that part, the rest of the tripod is ready. Sunpak includes two of these connectors in case you have two cameras. I needed it as a backup in case I lose it. The ability to switch between tripod and monopod is great. Very durable in any configuration. The leg extension latches on the tripod aren't very convenient,

For the McDouble and Jackson price, you can get a monopod and tripod that's over 5 feet long. This is a phenomenal deal. But the build quality is good! Not great but good! As you may have read, the middle tripod extension turns into a monopod; It's a fancy deal with this particular Sunpak model.
