Review on πŸ”Œ Sunco Construction Electrician for Downlight Installations by Lisa Frank

New detachable head nails are an improvement

I have now installed 30 new glass bulbs. The previous 20 used the old design with short, less rigid, non-removable nails. I recently ordered 10 more jars for the next phase of the project. The new cans come with a new nail design that has a second raised head to make it easier to remove the nails if the can needs to be moved. The new nails are slightly larger, sharper and tougher. This is a big improvement. I recently had to move one of the old tin lanterns across a cavity in one of the floor joists. I did not manage to remove the old nails (small head and no second head) without destroying (bending and tearing off) the installation tab. I had to use rotozip and cut out the nail to avoid damaging the flimsy mounting tabs. The sheet metal is not strong. This is not necessary unless it is necessary to remove one of the vessels and reinstall it elsewhere. A big improvement over Sunco.
