I bought this cable to connect a Lenovo laptop to a Lenovo monitor. Well, it was late at night and I didn't register a ONE-DIRECTIONAL statement in the listing. Yes these guys are not kidding and the cable will not work if you connect the HDMI side to the source and the DP side to the monitor. nope! It is used to connect a DP source to an HDMI monitor. So I connected a USB-C hub with a DP connector and then used this cable to connect my computer to the TV just to test it. It works quite well, but not the other way around. Obviously I don't have the equipment to test the cable's 8K capability. The cable is well braided and feels like a high quality cable. The DP and HDMI ports are nicely shaped. quality cable. Recommended if you need it.
