Rubber mats obviously offer good protection. Vacuuming is easy. Cleaning up after a soda spill is a bit of a hassle because every little hexagon fills up with liquid. I found it a tedious job of keeping each hexagon clean and non-sticky. I drive a Toyota Rav4 and found a piece of rubber on the driver's side that separates a little from the left leg rest, is too wide and slides/moves easily making my foot feel like it's about to fall off. It's a pain and I'll either trim it to make it narrower or I'll cut the whole piece off. However, they are inexpensive and serve their purpose.
