Easy to install. No instructions are provided, but after looking at it it becomes obvious how to do it. Cut and strip the wires in two. There are two "clamping screws" on each end. There is a small hole under the screws to insert the bare wire. If you have a black switch, you need a bright headlamp. The holes are hard to see. After the screws are pressed against the wires, they fit together snugly. I see no reason why they could ever come loose. My mother fixed it. Old pendant light in about 30 min. (It took only 15 minutes to install the switch.) It took longer to balance it :). 5 stars if it had instructions but it was just common sense.
