Too small for 16 AWG wire

This is a nice, neatly designed switch with very clear ON and OFF markings on the button that feels good. This is a 2 pole switch so you don't have to worry about polarity. However, it is too small to be used with 16 AWG lamp wire and difficult to connect even with 18 AWG wire. It's not clear how the cable strain relief clamps on each end are supposed to work. I'd say the switch would be a good choice for low-voltage, low-drain power cords, but it's too compact for most US tube cords.

Good switch once you figure it out

This switch has a nice feel; very distinct click and seems to be working fine. Too bad there were no instructions included. But after examining the switch, it became clear how to use it. This is a double pole one way switch (DPST) so both wires need to be cut and connected at each end. It can be a bit tricky to thread the wire through the holes, but once the screws and clamps are tightened it feels very secure. If your device has a larger pin on the connector, you will need to keep theโ€ฆ

Easy installation. Close connection. A good product.

Easy to install. No instructions are provided, but after looking at it it becomes obvious how to do it. Cut and strip the wires in two. There are two "clamping screws" on each end. There is a small hole under the screws to insert the bare wire. If you have a black switch, you need a bright headlamp. The holes are hard to see. After the screws are pressed against the wires, they fit together snugly. I see no reason why they could ever come loose. My mother fixed it. Old pendant light in about 30

Works but not easy to assemble

I needed a built in switch because my wife's touch makeup mirror stopped working and I've never read a good review of a replacement touch control. It's easy to turn on and off, so it's probably a lot more reliable. There are no instructions, but if you need them, you should probably ask someone for them. The only difficulty is getting the wires through the notched holes under the connectors. It seems to work better with solid wire than stranded wire, or maybe 22 gauge rather than regularโ€ฆ

Sturdy switch but connections are a little weak

The switch itself feels very solid and has a very distinct click when turning on and off, the switch seems to last a long time. The cable connections feel a little flimsy and I was under the impression that over tightening could cause them to break. The strain relief on each end is quite strong and does a very good job of preventing the connections from being pulled out of the screw connectors when the cable is pulled. Overall a good switch and value for money, I was happy with it and would buy

Great durable switch

Great switch but the lack of instructions was annoying. Let me see if I can fill in some of the gaps and simplify the installation. I'm not an electrician, but a quick google search and close examination of the switch and I was up and running. Each of the four screws inside the switch that the cable runs through is marked with an "N" or "L". Neutral and energized. You need to make sure you connect the correct wire from your cable to the correct screw. The side of the cable with ribs (the entire

Well done - no indication

Well done - looks like it will hold up. I am not an electrician and am afraid of electricity. This thing came without a single word of instruction. It's a simple device, I know, but I have no experience. I first bared the two wires on my lamp cord about an inch and routed the two wires where they could go, but it didn't work. Then I checked the instructions on YouTube and found that: one wire only goes through the switch, no stripping; The other wire is stripped and cut, and both ends areโ€ฆ
