It's amazing that you can buy so many at this price. I have used them outdoors to hang lanterns and wind chimes from existing hooks on my gazebo. I needed a little more length for both items and that helped. The hooks made it easier for me to attach the chime to the larger hook (the chime had a ring at the top which took some effort to attach to the larger hook that was attached to my pergola post). But now that I had this hook, I just threaded it through the ring and attached the other end of the hook to the larger hook (it's that easy). Also, this hook allowed the bells to hang down, making it easier to hook them. catch the breeze In fact, I hear my calls more now than I did before using these hooks. Unlike other hooks I've had in the past that have rusted (and should have been thrown away), I don't see any rust on these.
