This "heavy" tripod ball is a little smaller than I expected and the spirit level is small. Basically there are two different sized knobs to control the rotation of the ball. Inevitably, one or both is too loose or too tight, and the first knob you touch isn't good for adjustment. I suspect that one is for easy loosening and tightening to move the camera, and the other for adjusting the "tension". This doesn't work well for me. With a small bubble, it's difficult to be precise. None of the panoramic swivel ball heads will work if you can't align the tripod beforehand. A major design flaw in the industry!
