Review on Injection Connector PowerStroke 2003 2007 Excursion Replacement Parts ~ Fuel System by Troy Houston

Revainrating 5 out of 5

great product as advertised

I bought this connector for my 2006 f350 6.0 diesel engine. It was as described, good quality and a perfect fit. It also came with blind plugs to make it more foolproof when moving pins. However, I was a mannequin. For some reason I thought it was a fast connection, but it's not. It's not that hard, but it can be easy to get into trouble for those who have never done it before. Basically you have to remove the pins from your old connector and put the pins in this one, I'd say 5 out of 10 at skill level. The only tool I needed was a small jeweler's screwdriver. Also don't forget to disconnect both batteries from the truck, I didn't do this and arced the two contacts together. Long story short, all I had to do was buy a new $700 wiring harness (totally my fault). Please don't let that stop you from tackling this project, just don't be the fool that I was. I actually order the middle connector and will replace it when it arrives (it's on a different wiring harness). FYI, this part #AP0018 is the larger connector closest to the front of the truck.
