Great goal. I bought it in 2011 and it still works. It's very easy to install and I'm a woman. Follow the instructions and you will be fine. We use these gates to prevent our dogs from entering the garage through the back door. I attached it to the outside frame of the door to keep the dogs from walking in when opening it. I also attached it to the frame with drywall screws to withstand the elements and my dogs. In other words, how we set it affects the weather - rain, snow, sleet hits all the time. It withstands the weather well. We like it when the door is open so the wind blows through. But this gate has withstood 4 dogs, one of which weighs 80 pounds, and is still standing strong. Also, my 80 lb dog jumps and leans on this gate daily. Since I bought it in 2011 it has held up like this: - It's amazing in bad weather. After 4 years of outdoor use, it turned out that there is rust on some of the screws (the side that gets the most rain, etc.), but the door still has the original coating. There are no scratches from dogs, so it is obvious that the coating is very thick and of high quality. At 4 years old, the paint still looks 1A - open the gate: press and slide it. It takes a while to get used to, but overall it works great. Because they were in the elements they had moments of sticking, but we lubricated them and then they work fine again. - Also, the gate swings in both directions, which makes it awesome! - When installing the gate: the gate itself is slid larger and smaller to fit the doorway easily, and then screwed in place in the middle before installation. very easy. Overall it looks and works the same as the day we installed it. I don't intend to switch any time soon, I'm very satisfied. Highly recommended for dogs or children/infants. :) Britty approved!
