This led headlight suits me very well. It is very bright. In order to use this headlight with my 48V 15A Li-Ion battery I had to buy a 12V 3A DC buck converter. I was told to just plug this headlight directly into the battery, but I didn't want to spend my money experimenting. I'm afraid that if the bulb is connected directly to a battery with such high voltage and current, it will burn out. So I decided to use a DC buck converter to reduce the power so it can safely work with the fixture. I hooked it up to an 8 AA battery first and it worked great too. However, I didn't want to maintain a separate power supply. So the solution is to use a 12V 3A DC buck converter. The headlight datasheet says it's 12V 1670mA. That's 12V 1.67A. I could have used a 12V 1.5A DC buck converter but since it worked great with 8 AA batteries in series I decided to go with a 12V 3A DC buck converter since an AA battery is already 2A or 3A. It worked great for me.
