Truly amazing warm white LEDs

I rarely write a review the same day I receive an item but I tend to do so for these bulbs. They are amazing! Can't speak to durability of course as I've only had these bulbs one day, but as far as standard bulb equivalence goes these bulbs are a good match and use a fraction of the wattage (4W). versus 18 watts), which will be really useful during our fall hike in Denali, where generator times are strictly enforced, meaning we'll need our battery to get us through the night. I bought the "warm white" version. because we don't like the "blue color" of the high Kelvin LED bulbs we've tried in the past. Like many others, I made the mistake of spending money on cheap LED wedge bulbs, which are widely available online, only to be utterly disappointed in the bluish cast and halo effect of the light they gave off, not to mention the Color temperature that is far from correct. advertised lightbulbs. Basically I had 10 packs of useless LED bulbs that went in the trash and the old incandescent bulbs came back. Lesson learned. When I installed them today, I started fitting a new bulb into a double bulb socket. Lamp, with the bulb remaining in another cartridge. I did this to compare the light output and tone of an LED to an incandescent bulb. The results were really amazing. I could hardly tell any difference between the two pears. Both were equally bright and the "warm white" hue was almost the same between them. I have to admit that the LED was a bit brighter and maybe a few Kelvins higher on the color temperature scale, but I haven't seen anything like this in cheap LED replacements in the past. Really about the same as I've seen with every LED replacement I've ever tried. So I suggest you do yourself a favor, if you are serious about replacing your old incandescent bulbs with LEDs, skip the cheap ones and go straight to these premium bulbs. In the end you save yourself a lot of frustration.
