When I bought these the reviews were great but they have since gone down so maybe something has changed in the production. I bought it because of the 10 year old battery for the high ceilings in my new house. Unfortunately two of the three went off for no reason and I had to pull out the ladder at 2am to silence them. I haven't had real smoke or CO2 (tested with another monitor) to see how they react to real danger. The third had no problems, but I wouldn't buy these again.
