Cage was well protected and undamaged. Our little Dutch loves his new home. He has plenty of space there and loves being there, although he has access to space outside of it. I put some grass mats on top of the metal part and put the whole cage on a washer that was perfectly sized etc as a base. The box would be a joke for its intended use. To do this, it needs to be much deeper so that the rabbit sits deep enough in the pan to collect urine. In my case this is not a problem as our rabbit uses a tray that fits snugly under the ramp. What I love about this cage is that my son who has a rabbit there has easy access to all areas of the cage. I've only found two cages that offer this feature and the other has a wooden support that runs right through the center of the front opening which limits access as that crossbar is always in the way. My son cuddles and cleans his rabbit a lot more now as it's a lot easier to take him outside and get to all the spots that need cleaning. And as a result of all this, the rabbit became much more tame. I think the cage is fine for indoor use but would not use it outdoors. I put an X-Pen around it to give the little bunny extra space to visit and jump around. Now he willingly comes out to greet us and my little dog, cat and rabbit have become friends as they can communicate with each other in a safe way. very nice.
