If you use as a screensaver for jigsaw puzzles, use a squeegee!

I bought this to put together a jigsaw puzzle. One of the other reviews suggested using a squeegee and that was the best advice. It only took 2 coats to seal my puzzle and you can't even tell it's glued on. The white consistency helps determine if you've missed any stains, but it dries to a translucent finish. I imagine that if you use a brush, you're probably leaving brush marks. Using a squeegee guarantees no marks. While the instructions state that the finish can be "sticky" and needs to be sealed with clear caulk, I haven't found this to be the case for the two coats I applied to my jigsaw puzzle. I estimate from a 16 ounce bottle I used about 1 ounce per coat with a squeegee. Edited to include an image: I wanted to show how much I used for one layer and how it looked before and after it dried. I tried to take a close-up of the finished texture but it was quite difficult. I rubbed the squeegee back and forth across the entire puzzle many times to remove excess glue and remove lines of excess glue. It dries fairly quickly so I would try to work quickly.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • A few little things
