Firstly, the device is well made and very sturdy. There is little to no movement when typing or using the touchpad. Now for the bad news. Spreading the sides increases the angle, which is the only adjustment. In theory, if you want a smaller angle, you should be able to decrease the distance between the sides. However, if the stand is not at the maximum distance when you place the laptop on it, it will collapse and the laptop will fall over. basically only one corner is actually present and would just be a good stand for those who want that corner which by the way is very high and doesn't work for me.
