Review on 🐠 Odyssea Clean 100 Internal Surface Skimmer Aquarium Filter 450L for Plant Tanks by Christine Chase

This skimmer works great removing biofilm and floating leaves from the water surface. I confirm that I have heavily modified the device to suit my needs and based on the feedback here. The first; I determined the height I wanted to hold the main unit at, inserted the screw and covered the outer and inner part of the screw with silicone as there have been reports of this part rusting. Rust has not yet been noticed because. been in the water for 3 weeks. Make sure that the skimmer head can still move freely and that the silicone inside the device does not impede the up and down movement. I also replaced the foam inserts with more durable coarse foam (2pcs) for debris collection; but also serve as another biological filter reservoir. I also drilled a hole in the side just above the impeller and ran a CO2 line through it to break up the CO2 into small bubbles and disperse them in the water. This experiment worked, the CO2 gauge is green, which I never had with my standard disc diffuser. The skimmer disassembles easily for cleaning, with a transparent body to ensure it's clean. Such a great device for a low price.
