I'm using this in a 2016 Mustang with a sticky suction cup. It holds well and as soon as you place your phone in the holder, it automatically locks it and starts charging. A simple touch of the phone is triggered by touch sensors and the handles open, making it easy to grab and switch while driving without fumbling with the cord. You'll need to provide your own charger, but a USB Type-C cable is included. I use it with LG G6 Slim Body. It will be much better than putting it in a cup holder.
