The second set I bought, the first for my 2004 Corvette Convertible, the second for my 2003 Corvette Convertible. I had an issue with the trunk not opening far enough to slip my finger under it after pressing the trunk open button or using the trunk open button on the key fob unless I opened and closed the car door. After replacing the struts, it extends again just far enough for me to open the trunk without having to open and close the car doors. If you have the same problem, the trunk won't lift high enough to open, even if your trunk won't close on its own, I would recommend these trunk stays. Easy and quick to remove and replace using a small screwdriver to pry the retaining spring and then snap the new kit into place. The only downside is that the trunk opens so well that you have to close it instead of just closing the trunk lid like my 2004 did a few times while my head was in the trunk.
