. After eating cereal in it for weeks, my family refuses to eat it because of the plastic smell. Even after pouring into a bowl, the muesli has a plastic, chemical smell and an unpleasant taste. They asked me to leave the cereal in the box instead of using it. What am I supposed to do with them now? They were washed before I filled them. Although the measurements listed are each 4.3 inches wide, you might think they would fit side by side in a 17.2 inch wide space. You do not include all side clips in this measurement. I could barely fit them into my 17.75 inch closet. When I put them on the table and measured them they were 18 inches, but the clamps can squeeze a bit so I could put them on. I love them and my family is eating cereal again since I got this set. I could fit almost an entire Costco sized bag in each bag. There was only 1 large bowl that didn't fit. The round seal at the top has a silicone lip that opens and closes silently and securely. I highly recommend!
