Review on Delmar Tools Patented Table Saw Push Block: Enhancing Safety and Ease in Narrow Rip Cuts, Reducing Kickback Risks by Lance Jenkins

This is my new slotting tool on my table saw. For those of you looking between this and the Gripper I'll weigh my five cents as I currently have both in my shop. The Delmar Tools pusher has only two legs (a 1/4 inch leg that stays fixed and a 1 inch leg that is adjustable). But it has a balance wheel that can be lowered to stabilize the thrust block so it doesn't tip back and forth when cutting through narrow stock. . Press the button to lower the balance wheel. Spin the wheel with your thumb to move your middle leg. Gripper: You need to loosen the two thumbscrews to move the middle leg, then screw them back in to adjust the leg position each time you want to cut a different width. This is time consuming and cumbersome. The Delmar Tools pusher comes fully assembled to me and costs half the price of the gripper. To be honest, it made me feel just as confident cutting my narrow barrel with a saw as I did with the Gripper. It's durable, well built, and very convenient to set up. Yes, it only has 2 legs, but you don't need the third leg anyway. The balance wheel provides stability instead of the 3rd leg, which is pretty awesome. PROS: - Good price - it doesn't cost a tidy sum to buy! - Quick and easy setup for your cuts as a handle - Makes those narrow rip cuts a breeze on a table saw - No installation required (the handle is pretty hard to assemble and costs $60) - Keeps your fingers safe and off the blade - The handle feels sturdy and comfortable during use - I had no issues with gripping or the work piece slipping during my use. CONS: - Doesn't have a recognizable grappper brand (if that's what you do for your business) - With stock gaps greater than 18 inches, it's more difficult as you have to use two pusher blocks stacked on top of each other, just like a gripper - has not all the fancy accessories and extras that the Gripper has.
